Magor and The Local Area
The Golden Lion is situated in a village mid way between Newport & Chepstow, in South Wales.
Most non locals only see Magor as being where the motorway services are, but it has a population of approx 5,900. Magor is a vibrant village, well supported by it's inhabitants and local groups.
If you are passing through, please take the time to see what the area has to offer and if you want to venture a little further afield, there are fantastic walks through the local Nature Reserve (Newport Wetlands) and down to and along the Sea Wall.
